Penstocks

Civilmart are able to offer a range of Penstocks for Stormwater Applications.

These solutions are designed to act as a permanent water gate in stormwater infrastructure that controls or limits the flow of water from one are to the next. Penstocks can be manually adjusted to control the desired flow between upstream and downstream locations.

These devices are manufactured from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) providing a lightweight, high-strength and corrosion resistant alternative to other materials

Flap Valves are generally available in three (3) typical mounting options:

• Wall Mounted (i.e. affixed directly to a headwall or wall-type structure)
• Side Wall Mounted (i.e. affixed within the wall of a structure)
• Channel Mounted (i.e. affixed into a culvert channel)

These designs can incorporate various upstream structure shapes to assist with the creation of a watertight seal. The size and shape of the gate within the penstock is nominated based on the upstream opening (aperture) you are trying to limit or stop flow from exiting or entering.
