Since 1957, Rocla Poles – Civilmart’s dedicated poles brand – has produced high quality pole, pile and columns products in Australia, as well as pole related engineering services.
Rocla Poles products are manufactured using our unique spun-casting process, creating a high density concrete pole for high stiffness & durability, with a smooth external finish and hollow core for reduced mass.
Rocla Poles products are suitable for use in all wind load regions and terrain categories throughout Australia and are highly bushfire resistant. Our range includes poles up to 67m in length and strengths up to 400kN (ult.), in single piece up to 24m in length, or in multi-section arrangements. Our range includes both bolt-down, or the installation and cost efficient direct-embedment options.
As well as pole products, our in-house engineering team provides pole related design services including pole foundation design, pole strength certification, and pole strengthening options for poles already in service.
Our RocPole™ pole selection software is also available to enable the selection the appropriate Rocla Communication Pole, depending on environmental and topographical site conditions.

Power Poles
The unique manufacturing process creates hollow, steel-reinforced concrete poles of great strength and relatively light weight, by spinning the mould at high speed.
The process removes a significant proportion of water in the concrete mix, which results in a high-density concrete pole with inherently low permeability. The concrete is also steam-cured for high early strength, enabling delivery shortly after manufacture.
Civilmart has a product to suit almost any application in the electricity supply industry around Australia, in particular; Distribution Poles, Sub-Station Poles, Transmission Poles.
Civilmart provides a full range of fittings and custom placement to allow any configuration of pole mounted electrical gear.

Lighting & CCTV Poles
Rocla Poles lighting poles are suitable for use in all wind load regions and terrain categories throughout Australia, and are particularly effective when designed for marine applications.
Civilmart’s lighting and CCTV pole range employs generally single piece, slimline poles of prestressed construction to minimise the diameter and maximise stiffness and performance.
The impact resistance of concrete poles in carpark situations means fewer replacements due to car collisions and the natural damping effect of concrete also minimizes damage to installed equipment by vibration.

Communications Poles
Civilmart manufactures a variety of communications poles designed to support a wide range of antenna configurations under all wind loading conditions in Australia and New Zealand.
Rocla Poles communications poles are made from high-density steel-reinforced concrete, using a centrifugal spinning process that produces a hollow pole with great strength and stiffness and a long, maintenance-free service life.
The high stiffness of the pre stressed concrete in Rocla Poles communications poles maximises the performance of antennas.
All poles come with a full range of fittings to enable fixing of antennas and associated equipment. Fittings include; step ferrules, stainless steel “tip ferrules” for mounting turrets etc, fixtures to accommodate commercial climbing systems, pole caps, earthing points, hatch doors (below ground and above ground) for running internal feeder cables.
Civilmart also offers a comprehensive footing design service and can offer a range of foundation methods including raft footings and bored piers.
Pole Selection Software “RocPole™” is available to enable the user to select the appropriate communication pole depending on environmental and topographical site conditions.

Foundation Piles
Rocla Poles precast foundation piles greatly improve construction speeds, critical to time-sensitive bridge replacement projects. Designed in accordance with AS5100-2017, and manufactured under Civilmart’s ISO 9001 quality system, they are adaptable for use with any precast system or in-situ bridge design.
The centrifugal spun process provides very high strength, whilst the hollow core reduces lifting mass, allowing for smaller on-site crane requirements, while the ability to deliver to site ‘just-in-time’ reduces site space requirements and costs.
The circular section eliminates misalignment and torsion stresses experienced with multi-sided poles and the efficient mass-to-strength ratio allows longer length poles, eliminating the need for jointing.
Rocla Poles foundation piles are available in 400mm, 450mm and 585mm sizes, and in single-piece lengths of up to 24 metres. Our full range of pile designs are suitable for either potted or driven installations.

Marine Piles
Rocla Poles marine piles are the ideal piling solution for marinas, jetties and structural applications in marine environments requiring piles with great strength, durability and low maintenance costs.
Manufactured from super-dense spun concrete, Rocla Poles marine piles are also pre-stressed to provide a long, trouble-free service life in one of the harshest natural environments.
Compared with steel piles, Rocla Poles concrete piles are low maintenance and require no welding on site – piles are available in continuous lengths up to 24 metres.
The durable surface finish of concrete piles also makes them less likely to squeak on the rollers used in floating pontoons.
